Terms of Service

Effective October 27, 2026 · Version 1.2

1. Welcome

Welcome to SkateTracker. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SkateTracker (the "Service"), a cloud-based software application owned and operated by Akomplis Studios Inc., a company incorporated under the laws of British Columbia, Canada ("SkateTracker," "we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account, starting a free trial, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use SkateTracker.

2. About SkateTracker

SkateTracker is subscription software designed to help skate sharpening businesses manage customer information and sharpening records. Features may include customer profiles, skate information and preferences, sharpening history, punch card tracking, pickup notifications, reminders, operational reports, revenue summaries, and shop activity tracking. Features may change over time.

3. Eligibility

Every account holder must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter agreements, and authorized to act on behalf of their business. An account holder is responsible for anyone they add to their account, including staff, customers and skaters.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining your account security and all activity under your account.

5. Subscription Plans

Monthly: CAD $39/month. Annual: CAD $390/year. Early-bird rate: CAD $29/month for the first 3 months, after which the regular monthly price applies. Prices may change with advance notice; any change takes effect on your next renewal.

6. Free Trial

New customers may receive a 14-day free trial. Unless cancelled before expiry, your subscription automatically begins.

7. Billing and Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

8. Cancellation

Cancel anytime. Access continues until the end of your prepaid term.

9. Refund Policy

Subscriptions are generally non-refundable except where required by law.

10. Referral Program

Subscribers may invite other businesses to SkateTracker using their personal referral link, found in Settings. A business that creates a new SkateTracker account through a referral link and chooses the monthly plan receives CAD $19.50 off its first paid month, applied automatically at checkout. This discount does not apply to the annual plan and cannot be combined with other promotional codes. A referral applies only to a new account created through the link; it cannot be added to an existing account.

Once a referred business has paid for three months of service (an annual payment counts as twelve months), the referring subscriber receives a one-time account credit equal to one month of the monthly plan, currently CAD $39. Credits are applied automatically to future SkateTracker invoices, including an annual renewal. Credits have no cash value and cannot be refunded, transferred or exchanged. Each subscriber may earn up to 12 credits in any 12-month period.

Referrals of your own or related businesses, and any referral obtained through misleading or abusive means, are not eligible, and we may withhold or reverse credits in those cases. We may change or end the Referral Program at any time; credits already earned before a change will be honoured.

11. Customer Data

Your business owns its customer data.

12. Children's Information

Many skaters are under 18. SkateTracker is software for businesses: it is not directed to children, and children may not create or manage a SkateTracker account. Information about a child skater, such as the skater's name, skate details, preferences and sharpening history, is added by your business, or by a parent or guardian, for example through your new-customer form.

When your business records information about a child, you are responsible for obtaining any consent required by applicable privacy law from the child's parent or guardian, collecting only what you need to serve that skater, and using it only for that purpose. Contact details should be those of a parent or guardian, not the child.

Customer and team sign-up forms must be completed by someone 18 or older, who confirms they are responsible for every skater or player they add. If a parent or guardian asks you to correct or remove their child's information, you can update the record or remove the customer in SkateTracker; if the information must be permanently deleted, contact us and we will help. We handle children's information the same way as all other customer data, and we do not sell it.

13. Access to Customer Data

We may access data only for support, troubleshooting, maintenance, security, or legal compliance.

14. Data Storage

Customer data is stored using Supabase.

15. Data Retention

Cancelled accounts are retained for 60 days before permanent deletion.

16. Acceptable Use

No illegal activity, malware, hacking, reverse engineering, account sharing outside your organization, or abusive automation.

17. Intellectual Property

The software and all intellectual property remain the property of Akomplis Studios Inc.

18. Third-Party Services

We rely on providers including Stripe and Supabase.

19. Notifications

Email and SMS delivery is not guaranteed.

20. Reports and Analytics

Reports are informational only and should not be relied upon as accounting or tax records.

21. Service Availability

The Service is provided as available with no uptime guarantee.

22. Suspension and Termination

Accounts may be suspended for non-payment, fraud, abuse, security concerns, or violations of these Terms.

23. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available."

24. Limitation of Liability

Liability is limited to subscription fees paid during the previous 12 months.

25. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms with reasonable notice.

26. Governing Law

Governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
